Joining a strong Marauders team as a first-year, Carter did not look out of place this past weekend in North York, where she and her McMaster teammates climbed the podium yet again at the OUA Badminton Championship.
 
The Burlington, Ont. native showed her prowess in the doubles events, playing nine doubles matches over the course of the three-day tournament and winning eight of those, helping McMaster to team bronze and herself to the OUA Rookie of the Year award by tournament’s end.
