Sanders was on top form on Saturday, leading the Marauder men's cross country team to its best finish at the CIS Championships since 2000, as McMaster finished fourth. The fourth-year senior scored first for his team, placing tenth after completing the ten-kilometre course at London's Thames Valley Golf Club in a time of 31:52.8. His finish inside the top fourteen earned Sanders Second-Team All-Canadian honours alongside fellow Marauder and second scorer Blair Morgan. Saturday's result was Sanders' best showing at the CIS Championships, and an improvement on his OUA Championship finish of 14th.
