An experienced physiotherapist of over twenty years, Gloria completed her BSc in Physiotherapy at the University of Toronto in 1991. At that time, she competed in varsity soccer and track field. She completed the first Canadian Sport Physiotherapy Fellowship at the Fowler Kennedy Sport Medicine Clinic at the University of Western Ontario in 1994. During that time she also obtained her Sport Certificate from Sport Physiotherapy Canada. She has served as the Chief Physiotherapist at the 2003 World Road Cycling Championships, 2001 Canada Summer Games (Field Hockey), and the London Marathon. She has also been an integral member of medical teams including Skate Canada, Commonwealth Rowing Championships, Team Canada Volleyball, Ontario Summer Games, Junior B and AAA Hockey. She has completed extensive post-graduate courses in advanced manual therapy, exercise and medical acupuncture. Gloria has two scientific publications in peer reviewed journals regarding knee proprioception. Gloria is currently responsible for the selection, training and supervision of student therapists placed with McMaster varsity teams. She enjoys her present role at the David Braley Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Centre treating sport and orthopedic injuries in recreational, professional and elite athletes. Gloria is currently responsible for the selection, training and supervision of clinical volunteers.
