McMaster Experience: 37 seasons (1981 - 2017, 2018-19)

Coaching Philosophy: "It is my responsibility to awaken the potential of every member of our wrestling program, and to guide the individual towards personal excellence. Everyone is good enough to wrestle, and every person can achieve success through wrestling."

Season by Season:

2012-13: The Marauders won a total of nine medals at the OUA Championships, with Jason Buckle (61kg) and Ahmed Shamiya (57kg) claiming gold ... Chris Garneau (67kg), Kevin MacLellan (82kg) and Andrew Balach (130kg) each won silver, and Eric Steffler (76kg) and Kevin Barett (90kg) won bronze ... The McMaster men finshed second as a team at the OUA Championships, only six points behind the winning Western Mustangs ... Nicole Mazara won silver (48kg) and Nicole Roach won bronze (59kg) as the McMaster women finished fifth ... Buckle was named Top Male Wrestler at the OUA meet and Shamiya was the Male Rookie of the Year ... Buckle (61kg), MacLellan (82kg) and Roach (59kg) won bronze at the CIS Championships

2011-12: Took home a total of eight medals at the OUA Championships, earning a second place team finish for the men's team.. The medal haul included four golds from rookie Jason Buckle (57kg), Ryan Blake (72kg), Kevin MacLellan (82kg), and Sean House (90kg).. rookie Chris Garneau won silver (65kg) and Allan Middleton (61kg) and rookie Aaron Misner (130kg) each won bronze.. Syndey Duggan was the only Marauders from the women's team to win a medal with a bronze (55kg)... MacLellan and House won gold at the CIS Championships for the first times in their careers... Buckle took silver and Blake won bronze... Buckle was named OUA and CIS Rookie of the Year and also earned McMaster's Mel and Marilyn Hawkrigg Award for Male Rookie of the Year.

2010-11: Led McMaster to six OUA medal performances... Ryan Blake won the 72kg once again and Kevin McLellan defeated Guelph’s Mathieu Des Chatelets in the 82 kg to earn win his first career title... Adam Benish (130kg) and Sean House (90kg) won silvers at the OUA's... Alan Middleton won bronze in the 61kg and Kevin Barrett won bronze in the 76kg... Rookie Alyshia Anderson took home a silver in her first-year with the Marauders... Blake and McLellan both earned silver medals at the CIS Championships in Thunder Bay.

2009 - 10: Amongst an impressive showing of five medals at the OUA Championships, Ryan Blake rose to the top of the podium to win gold while Dusan Milakara captured silver in the men's 72kg class alongside of Sean House and Kevin MacLellan...Adam Benish picked up bronze with a 3-1 defeat over Brock's Eric Slute... Sydney Duggan won bronze in the 51kg for the women at the provincial championship... Blake and House both went on to win silver medals at the CIS Championship in Calgary.

2008 - 09:  Mac brought home OUA hardware once again as Dusan Milikara (72kg) finished second and Cameron Van Oort, Ryan Blake, Sean House and Kevin MacLellan finished third in their respective categories.... Caitlyn Goodfellow (63kg) led the women with a second place performance... Milikara continued his success for a national silver medal at the CIS Championship... Mikakara and Goodfellow were also named an OUA second team All-Stars.   

2007 - 08: Dave Rennalls pinned Matt Sparling of Guelph for the OUA gold medal in the 72kg class and Sheldon Francis followed against Andrew Elliott in the 76kg class... Francis repeated as Keegan Trophy Recipient for the OUA's Most Outstanding Male Wrestler... Atilla Kasap earned a bronze in the 82kg weight class... Dave Rennalls wrestled his way to gold in the 72kg class at the CIS Championship... Francis added another national medal, this time a silver, to his very distinguished CIS wrestling resume... Rennalls and Francis were both OUA first team All-Stars.

2006 - 07: Despite injury Mike Celli finished third at the OUA Championship in the 61kg class to help his team claim second overall... Francis claimed gold in the 76kg class, as did Stefanie Howorun, Steve Rennalls, Matt Miller and Dusan Milakara...Caitlin Goodfellow claimed a silver and Gaya Armirthausar picked up a bronze... Sheldon was the recipient of the Keegan Trophy as the OUA's Most Outstanding Male Wrestler... Francis won his second consecutive CIS gold medal with his defeat of Saskatchewan's Daniel Olver... Miller won his first CIS title against Hardeep Auijlaa of Simon Fraser.... Steve Rennalls, Miller, Milakara, Francis and Howorun were named OUA first team All-Stars...Caitlyn Goodfellow was named a second team All-Star. 

2005 - 06: Marauders picked up ten medals at the OUA Championship... Stefanie Howorun (67kg) Matthew Miller (68kg) led the way by securing a gold each... Men's team finished with a bronze medal...Steve (65kg) and Dave (76kg) Rennalls, Sheldon Francis (82kg), Mike Celli (61kg), Dusan Milikara (72kg) and Ellen Macro (59kg) each won silver... Andrew Bourns picked up his first career podium finish with a bronze in the 90kg class... At the CIS Championship Francis captured gold, Miller and Howorun took home silver and Dave Rennalls claimed a bronze... The men's team finished just outside medal contention in fourth... Francis was named the CIS' Most Outstanding Male Wrestler.

2004 - 05: Ellen Macro defended her OUA Championship title in the 61kg weight class.. Stefanie Howorun places second in the 65kg class... Amanda Burke (53kg) and Muoi An Truong (57kg) both place third... For the men, Matt Miller, Steve Rennalls, Ray Foster and Sheldon Francis all brought home silver medals while Leonard Payne took bronze...Francis claims silver at the CIS Championship.

2003 - 04: Named OUA's Women's Coach of the Year... Boyd and Francis take gold and Byers claims silver at the OUA Championship... Francis comes third at CIS Championship...Ellen Macro was named OUA's Most Outstanding Female Wrestler.

1992 - 93:  Named OUA's Men's Coach of the Year.

1987 - 88:  Named OUA's Men's Coach of the Year.

1984 - 85:  Named OUA's Men's Coach of the Year.

1982  - 83:  Named OUA's Men's Coach of the Year.
