Title: Assistant Coach
McMaster Experience: 2 seasons
Starting his second stint on the McMaster basketball staff, having previously worked with the Maroon under Joe Raso, Coach Furtado has been very active coaching in botht he Hamilton high school tanks and the OBA club system. While helping out with the Marauders, he will continue to coach the senior boy's team at St. Mary's high school. He spent the summer of 2011 on the coaching staff of Ontario's U-17 provincial team that captured the gold medal at the national championships played at Humber College. Coaching with Team Ontario gives Coach Furtado great insight into the provincial talent pool, which will be a boon in targeting prospective recruits. A McMaster alumnus, Furtado has an OUA all-star linebacker with the Marauder football team during his student-athlete days.
