Coach Gunter is in his seventh year on staff and is now the associate head coach, responsible for being offensive coordinator and additional duties. As a player in the maroon & grey, Gunter was a key member of three McMaster teams that advanced to the CIS Tournament, and in his final season of 2005-06, the Marauders won the OUA Championship and he was named co-recipient of the team MVP award. Gunter spent several seasons coaching with the Blessed Sacrament junior boys’ team in the OBA, winning numerous provincial medals, and he was also formerly part of the broadcast crew for Marauder games on McMaster radio CFMU.
Gunter works for McMaster University as a financial manager. Justin and his wife Dr. Rebecca Bessett-Gunter reside in Ancaster with their son Benjamin.
