Dr. Devin Peterson

Dr. Peterson is a consultant Orthopaedic surgeon at the David Braley Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Centre. Dr. Peterson completed medical school and Orthopaedic Surgical training at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He followed this training with an additional two years of subspecialty training in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine and Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Western Ontario. He spent additional time at the University of Toronto adding to his expertise in Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr Peterson is an Associate Professor in the Department of Surgery at McMaster University and is on active staff at the Hamilton Health Sciences Centre. Dr. Peterson has served as the OMA Section Chair in Sports Medicine.

Currently, he is the Head Physician for the McMaster University Football Team and has treated professional players with the Hamilton Bulldogs Hockey Team (AHL), Toronto Rock Lacrosse (NLL) and Tiger-Cats Football Club (CFL). His clinical and research interests include Paediatric Orthopaedics and sports medicine for all ages with a special interest in arthroscopic surgery of the knee.
