HAMILTON, Ont. —  Women's Basketball, Sophia Urosevic (Kitchener, Ont.), and Men's Track, Samuel Patrick (Guelph, Ont.) have been crowned this week's Marauder Athletes of the Week for their excellent showings over the weekend.

Sophia Urosevic - (Kitchener, Ont.)

Sophia Urosevic put together an impressive two-game road swing for the Marauders, delivering consistent scoring and poise in matchups against Laurentian and Nipissing. In Friday's contest in Sudbury, she logged 35 minutes and paced the offence with 13 points. Urosevic connected on two three-pointers and was flawless at the line, sinking all three of her free-throw attempts to help keep McMaster within striking distance.

She elevated her play even further on Saturday at Nipissing, erupting for a career-high 29 points in 33 minutes. Attacking the basket with confidence, Urosevic finished 9-for-22 shooting, buried three triples, and went a perfect 8-for-8 from the charity stripe. Her 42-point weekend total underscored her impact and offensive spark, as she continued to emerge as a reliable scoring threat for the Marauders on the road.

Samuel Patrick - (Guelph, Ont.)

Samuel Patrick delivered a statement performance at the Don Wright Challenge in London, Ontario, capturing first place in the 1500 metres with a winning time of 3:48.33. From the opening lap, Patrick positioned himself near the front of the pack, staying composed and patient as the field settled into rhythm. With a strong surge over the final stages, he separated from the competition and closed with authority to secure the victory.

His time not only earned him top spot in the race but also vaulted him to the top of the U SPORTS rankings in the 1500 m, where he now sits first overall in the nation. Patrick's performance this season has been impeccable and looks to stay strong heading into the rest of the season.
