On the road, the McMaster Marauders faced against the Nipissing Lakers and upset them 83-70.

In the first two quarters, it seemed like a constant 3-point game, in the Lakers' favour. It took 16 minutes for the Marauders to get in front of Nipissing. Stinson finished the 3-point play to make the score 29-27. As the clock ran, a few more lead changes were exchanged, and the second ended with Nipissing leading by two. Shocked at the range, the Marauders couldn't bring the same rain as their opponents; the Lakers were 7-21, which McMaster only had 1-12.
Coming out of the locker room, a switch was flipped in the Marauders, and the third got off to a fast start. Starting with correcting lows, the squad landed three threes, while collectively building a six-point, then seven, and finally an eight-point run.
The Marauders used speed to their advantage in the match-up. Capitalizing on ball movement to create chances, the team recorded 25 assists.
Continuing to make up ground, the Marauders grew their numbers and shot 49.3% from the field. Crashing the glass, McMaster had 33 rebounds, and suddenly the squad developed a healthy lead. By the final moments of the fourth, the Hamilton team found a 15-point advance and was able to close the night. Giving the Lakers false hope in the first two quarters, only to drop them in the third, the Marauders walked away 83-70
