HAMILTON, Ont. –  Currently on an eight game win streak, the Marauder women are looking strong as they prepare for two away games this week first taking on the University of Toronto Varsity Blues on Friday night and then the TMU Bold on Saturday night.

McMaster and University of Toronto are familiar foes, having battled twice during the 2019-20 regular season. The Marauders took the first match in a 78-56 win, while University of Toronto came out victorious in the second match-up, winning 66-76.

The Varsity Blues are coming off of a tough loss after losing 47-57 to the Brock Badgers. The University of Toronto is currently 4-14 and is looking to get back into the win column this upcoming weekend. 

After taking on the University of Toronto, the Marauder men stay in Toronto to battle with the TMU Bold on Saturday night.

The Bold and the Marauders faced off twice during the 2019-20 season. In their first match-up, TMU took the win, beating the Marauders 46-84. McMaster came back with a vengeance in their second match-up, beating the Bold 81-77. Most recently, McMaster and TMU competed this past November, with McMaster coming out on top, beating TMU 64-54.

The TMU Bold are currently 10-7, after beating the Lakehead Thunderwolves 83-57 this past Friday, and 70-45 on Saturday.

The Marauders battled the Western Mustangs and Windsor Lancers this past week. McMaster easily defeated the Mustangs, winning 72-48. The Windsor Lancers proved to be tough competition, however it was the maroon and grey that came out on top, defeating the Lancers 48-46. Sarah Gates (Newmarket, Ont.) recorded her 1720^th point against Windsor, making her the lead scorer in McMaster women's basketball history. 

McMaster is currently 13-4 and look to add to their current eight game win-streak this week.
