The McMaster Marauders basketball teams return to the Burridge Gym on Saturday to take on the Brock Badgers after facing them in away games on Wednesday night.
The Brock Badgers are currently leading the men's and women's OUA West division standings, both holding a nine-game win streak. However, the Marauders don't fall far behind, with the men's team currently second in the standings and the women close behind in third, both holding 6-3 records. Home court advantage will be on the Marauders' side in these rematch games with the players hungry for a win.
These face-offs in Burridge will be dedicated as the first of two Black History Month games day events.
These games will highlight local Black-owned businesses and resources for Black students, including the Black Student Athlete Council (BSAC), the Black Students Association (BSA), and the Black Student Success Center (BSSC). The Canadian national anthem and the Black anthem will also be sung by a Black singer, Abi Oladesu. Later in the month of February, a panel highlighting local Black Hamilton legends, titled Black at Mac: Giving Back, will fall between the games on the evening of Wednesday, Feb. 23rd.
