HAMILTON, Ont. – After three weekends of OUA regular season basketball, McMaster currently sits 3-3. The Marauder women are coming off of back-to-back wins and look to continue the winning streak this upcoming weekend as they face the Lakehead Thunderwolves. Game time is set for 6:00 PM both Friday and Saturday night at the LU Fieldhouse in Thunder Bay, Ontario.

McMaster faced the TMU Bold, the defending U SPORTS National Champions, this past Friday. The Marauders held the lead all four quarters, coming out on top with a 64-54 victory. Three Marauders scored in the double digits - Sarah Gates (Newmarket, Ont.) scored 28 points while Amy Stinson (Hamilton, Ont) scored 15 points, and Jenna Button (Dundas, Ont.) recorded 10 points. McMaster then faced the Brock Badgers on Saturday night in Burridge Gym. The Marauders led in all four quarters, ending the game 66-53 and earning them their second win in a row. Sarah Gates (Newmarket, Ont.) recorded her second straight double-double, recording 13 points, 2 steals and 10 rebounds. McMaster currently sits 3-3 in the OUA standings.
The Marauders and Thunderwolves faced each other twice during the 2021-22 regular season. McMaster came out victorious both times, winning the first match-up 74-65, and the second 63-47. Lakehead is coming off of a tough weekend, after back-to-back losses against the Ottawa Gee-Gees, and the Laurier Golden Hawks.
