MARAUDERS CONTINUE UNDEFEATED STREAK AGAINST BADGERS

The McMaster Marauders men's volleyball team beat the Brock Badgers 3-0 on Friday night at the Bob Davis Gymnasium in St. Catharines.

McMaster came out strong in the first set, taking it 25-21, with a .286 hitting percentage, their best of the night.

Mateusz Wlodarski, Sam Cooper, and Wojtek Kraj dominated the attack line for the Marauders, earning 23 kills between the three of them.

McMaster's Robbie Fujisawa made 28 assists as well, to help his team on the attack.

The starting setter showed incredible hustle in pursuit of the ball, even climbing over the announcer's table in the first play of the match.

The strong offence continued for McMaster into the second set, accompanied by a defensive line held up by Kraj, Wlodarski, and Navreet Suhan at the net.

Brock's attack was no match for the blocks put up by McMaster's front row and the Marauders took the second set with a close 26-24 final score.

On the receiving side for the Marauders, Cooper, Wlodarksi, and Max Gratton were there to dig the attacks made by the Badgers.

Keeping up the pressure in the third and final set, McMaster came away with a 27-25 win, sweeping Brock on the road.

Now 3-0 in the season, the Marauders add to their undefeated streak after beating both the Windsor Lancers and the Guelph Gryphons this month.

McMaster is also now 9-0 against the Badgers since Brock's men's team was reintroduced in 2016.

The Marauders will rematch Brock in their home opener this Sunday at 3pm.
