NO. 8 MARAUDERS FALL TO NO. 6 RAMS BUT MOVE ON TO PLAYOFFS

The No. 8 nationally ranked McMaster Marauders men's soccer team suffered a loss to the No. 6 Rams 3-1 on Sunday afternoon at Ron Joyce Stadium.

It was also senior day and the team took a moment to celebrate their graduating players: Michael Constanzo, Tyler Gilman, Dusan Kovacevic, Tristian Joyce, Matthew Monteiro, Santiago Patarrayo, Jordan Prescod, Antonio Sereno, Cheikh Tchouambou, and Sevon Wessman-Allen

Graduating senior Antonio Sereno put away the Marauders only goal of the match in the 32nd minute.

For the Rams goals of the match, Zakaria Abdi scored twice - in the 17th minute and in the 66th minute - and Abdallah El-Chanti also found the back of the net in the 35th minute.

The Marauders and Head Coach Dino Perri leave the regular season with a record of 6-2-2 and a second place ranking in the OUA Central Division. The team will move on to the playoffs, with more details on those game match ups to come.
