PREVIEW: NEW YEAR RINGS IN FOR MARAUDERS AS NO. 5 RAMS COME INTO TOWN

The McMaster Marauders women's basketball team returns to the Burridge Gym on Wednesday night for their first round of action in the new year against the No. 5 nationally ranked Ryerson Rams.

History
 
The Marauders and Rams met once last season with the latter team coming away with a narrow 89-80 win, giving the Marauders their first loss of the year after a 5-0 start.
 
Sarah Gates dropped 24 points and picked up four boards in the contest, while Olivia Wilson added 14 points shooting a perfect 6-6 from the free-throw line.

Jama Bin-Edward – An OUA second-team all-star in 2019, she leads the league in free-throw percentage shooting 90% from the line.
 
G Marin Scotten – Shooting an OUA fourth best 43.6% from three-point land, ranking eighth in the province in points per game with 14.8 points.
