Men's Soccer: Marauders and Lancers Play to Goalless Draw in Windsor

McMaster and Windsor sit in a three-way tie with Western for the final playoff positions in the OUA West

Both teams had the opportunity to carve out some space for themselves in the crowded OUA West playoff picture with a result Friday, but neither side could find the cutting edge.

Instead, the Marauders and Windsor Lancers were forced to split the points in a goalless draw that saw the teams move to an identical 4-3-5 record with just two matches to play before the onset of the OUA playoffs.

Sitting on 17 points alongside the Western Mustangs, the teams are tied for positions four, five and six in the OUA West divisional standings, which comprise the division's final playoff berths.

There was little to report in Friday's contest, in which McMaster was held without a shot on goal.

Making his return between the posts for the Marauders, Tristan Joyce kept a clean sheet by saving both of the shots he faced.

NEXT UP: McMaster concludes its regular season in a week's time, with a visit to Guelph on Friday, October 18 before returning home to Ron Joyce Stadium to battle the Brock Badgers on Sunday, October 20.
