Box Score The McMaster women's volleyball team put on a defensive clinic and swept the York Lions 3-0 in OUA action in Hamilton on Saturday night.  The Marauders won by set scores of: 25-12, 25-11, and 25-15.

The Marauder block was a dominating factor for the entire match, as the LIons were repeatedly shut down at the net and finished the match with a negative hitting percentage (-.053) as a team.   When York was able to get the ball over the net, McMaster displayed outstanding ball control with 44 digs.

While frustrating York, taking care of the defense also  allowed the offense to flow for the Maroon, who got contributions from everyone.  Joanna Jedrzejewska was the top Marauder scorer with 17.5 points, while Rebecca Steckle scored 12.5, with a gaudy .611 kill percentage. 

Ranked No. 5 in the latest U Sports top-ten, the Marauders will make the trip to Thunder Bay next weekend for a pair of matches versus Lakehead.  Games are November 11 and 12, with 7-pm start times and will be available to watch online at OUA.tv.
