With both McMaster basketball teams currently riding win streaks, they will steel themselves to face the Brock Badgers who will invade the Burridge Gym on Wednesday, November 16.
The women's game starts at 6-pm, followed by men's action at 8-pm.
The men's game is a clash of top-ten teams as McMaster sits at the No. 3 spot, while the Badgers are currently ranked 7th. The teams split a pair of games last season, with Brock knocking off the Marauders in Hamilton and McMaster taking the rematch at the Meridian Centre in St. Catharines.
Brock is led by All-Canadian Dani Elgadi, but he has more support this season as Coach Charles Kissi added three transfers to provide the depth that was lacking on last year's Badger squad. A McMaster graduate and Marauder player, Kissi always has his team ready to face his alma mater.
The Marauders scrapped their way through two tough wins versus Lakehead last weekend, but had little time to enjoy their success before getting ready for their Central Division rivals.
On the women's side, McMaster is off to a strong start and sits ranked at the No. 2 spot in the U Sports top-ten. The Brock women are not currently ranked and will put a younger team on the floor this year, along with a new coach as Ashley MacSporran has taken over the Badgers' helm. But behind guard Melissa Tatti and post Kira Cornelissen, the Badgers always give the Marauders a tough contest.
The Marauders will look to Danielle Boiago, who was McMaster's Athlete of the Week for scoring 44 points in two games vs. Lakehead, to pace the balanced Mac attack.
Last year saw McMaster take both games versus Brock.
With Brock expected to bring some vocal support to negate the McMaster homecourt advantage, Marauder Nation needs to mobilize to back the Mac teams as they defend their house.
