MAC'S FORAN SETS THREE NEW WORLD JOGGLING RECORDS IN QUEBEC CITY

Her unique passion project has gotten a fair share of attention in recent weeks, and Gabrielle Foran added another impressive chapter to her burgeoning joggling career on July 25.

The Marauder runner, who has made news both on campus and in the wider community for her ability to combine speed, endurance and the coordination of juggling, bested two of her existing world records and added a third at the International Juggling Association Festival in Quebec City.

Foran won gold in all four of the three-ball joggling events in which she competed, winning the 100m in a time of 17 seconds before establishing a world record of 1:15.74 at the 400m distance and bettering her previous world records in the 800m and 1600m (one mile) events with times of 2:39.66 and 5:25.00.

Her performances in Quebec designate Foran as the Canadian national champion across the three-ball discipline, and suggest that the Marauder has, in the words of McMaster teammate Maddy McDonald, "become the most dominant female joggling competitor on the world stage, and perhaps even in the history of the sport."

Joggling is an emerging niche in the running world, and Foran is poised as an early star.
