Less than 24 hours after a hard-fought win in London, the Marauders produced their most dominant display of the season to blowout the Windsor Lancers on Sunday.
McMaster completed a straight-set win in little more than an hour (25-11, 25-19, 25-11) to improve to 9-3 atop the OUA West standings. Windsor, meanwhile, fell to 4-7 on the season and retained fourth place in the division.
The boxscore was an embarrassment of riches for the Marauders, with the team hitting for an average of .400 (41-85 with seven errors). Middle Taylor Brisebois and outside Rebecca Steckle led the team and the match with totals of 12.5 points, while Joanna Jedrzejewska had a game-high 12 kills. Setter Caitlin Genovy had game highs of 29 assists and 10 digs as far and away the leading passer of Sunday's match.
Sunday's win was the Marauders fourth straight in conference play, and seventh across all competitions. McMaster will continue their road trip in St. Catharines on Saturday, January 17, when they complete the season series against the Brock Badgers.
