WILTSHIRE'S FINISH POWERS MARAUDERS TO SECOND STRAIGHT WIN

Players may be missing, but the results keep coming for the Marauder women's soccer team, as McMaster posted a second-consecutive win, 1-0 over the Warriors in Waterloo on Sunday.

Third-year forward Cassandra Wiltshire had the game's only goal in the 60th minute, latching onto a through ball and slotting past the Waterloo keeper from short range. Sunday also brought a milestone for keeper Brittany Duffey, who secured her first clean sheet of the season. McMaster improved its record to 3-2 with the victory.

Probing for an opening throughout the first half, the Marauders tested Waterloo goalkeeper Lesia Bandura several times, but could not get the better of her before the interval. Her luck didn't last, however, as McMaster found the ball to unlock Waterloo's defence a half hour from the final whistle.

Having secured the full three points on Sunday, the Marauders will return to Waterloo in a week's time to battle the Warriors' cross-town rivals, the Laurier Golden Hawks. That match, on Saturday, September 20, will kick off at 1:00 p.m.
