Box Score The CIS no. 1-ranked Windsor Lancers got off to a hot start, and never looked back en route to a 80-51 over the McMaster Marauders on Saturday.

Windsor improved to 18-1 on the season with the win, while McMaster fell to 11-9 and remains deadlocked with the Brock Badgers for fourth in the OUA West standings.

Jessica Clemencon led the Lancers with 24 points and eight rebounds, going 8-13 from the floor and 7-10 from the free throw line. Miah-Marie Langlois added 21 points, while Korissa Williams had 16 – with 10 of those coming in the first quarter.

Meanwhile, Hailey Milligan notched a double-double for the Marauders in a losing effort, scoring 14 points and pulling down 11 rebounds. Danielle Boiago followed with 11 points of her own.

The Marauders endured a nightmare start to Saturday's game, watching as the Lancers opened on a 9-0 run. McMaster was ice cold from the floor, and missed its first eight attempts from the field before Stephanie Truelove hit a long jumper to get the visitors on the board.

It was one-way traffic in the first quarter, as the Lancers pounded the Marauders down low and in transition. Williams was the catalyst, leading Windsor with 10 points in the first quarter, and she created a beautiful final basket to emphatically conclude the period. The Lancers moved the ball quickly around the horn, and Williams dished to Langlois who nailed a deep triple to give Windsor a 20-point, 26-6 lead after 10 minutes of play.

The Marauder offence awoke in the second quarter as McMaster began the long process of chipping away at the deficit. The introduction of Isabel Ormond had an immediate impact, as the guard hit consecutive shots midway through the period. But Windsor continued to move the ball well and create open shots, and the Lancers remained well in control at the break with a 41-24 lead.

Lancer star Clemencon led all scorers with 14 points at the half, while Korissa Williams added 12 of her own.

Windsor's shooting cooled down early in the third quarter, but the Lancers picked up the slack on the offensive glass, with Clemencon leading the way in that regard. McMaster slashed the deficit to 15 at 52-37, but Windsor quickly responded in transition, and stole the very next possession. The 54-37 scoreline held after 30 minutes of play.

Both teams found success in the post to open the fourth quarter, but Windsor opened a 22-point lead when Andrea Kiss received the kick-out pass and sunk a long three. The Lancers continued to out-do the Marauders on the glass, and Langlois extended the lead to 29 at 78-49 with a reverse lay up with a minute and a half to play.

The rest was academic, as Windsor calmly walked out its comfortable win.
