LIONS SNAP MARAUDER WIN STREAK IN LAST GAME OF THE REGULAR SEASON

Toronto - The McMaster women's volleyball team fell to the top ranked York Lions on Sunday afternoon in their last regular season game. Losing in just three sets, the set scores were 25-20, 25-20, 25-14.

Third-year Kailee Stock had a team-high eight kills and a team-high 12 digs in the match and Middle Shannon McRobert was the only Marauder to hit double-digit points with seven kills, three aces and two blocks. Taylor Brisebois had eight points with seven kills and an ace.

For the Lions, Brandie Wilkerson scored 11 kills and had 2 aces and a block for a total of a game-high 14 points. Melissa Humana-Paredes also recorded 11 kills. Setter Tisha Rouse recorded 26 assists in the Lions' win.

The Marauders head into the playoffs, in large part thanks to their success after the Christmas break. Tied for fourth with the Toronto Varsity Blues, the Marauders win the tie break and will host a playoff game against them on Saturday, February 18 at 6:00 p.m.
