Box Score Toronto - The McMaster women's volleyball team was defeated by the Toronto Varsity Blues on their home court on Sunday afternoon.
The Marauders would lose the first set 25-20, but would get revenge in the second and win it 25-18. It would take extra points in the third for the Blues to regain the lead with a 27-25 win and depsite McMaster's best efforts, Toronto would close out the game with a 25-23 fourth set win.
McMaster would have a better kill percentage three of the four sets, but it would be Toronto's Charlotte Sider (Ottawa, Ont.) that would be the difference maker as she had 20 kills and 24 digs. Jennifer Neilson (Port Coquitlam, BC) would also hit double digit points with 13 kills and another two aces for 15 points.
Marauder Kailee Stock (Newmarket, Ont.) would record 13 kills and add three aces and Lauren Skelly (Whitby, Ont.) would have nine kills for the visitors. Libero Meagan Nederveen (Dundas, Ont.) would record a game-high 30 digs.
The Marauders host the Guelph Gryphons on Friday night at 6pm, changed from the original date of the game that was meant for Saturday at 1pm.
