MARAUDERS FALL TO NATIONAL CHAMPS, 68-57

Windsor, Ont. - The McMaster women's basketball team took on the No. 2 Windsor Lancers on the road on Wednesday night in their first game back from the break. Taylor Chiarot (Hamilton, Ont.) scored a team-high 17 points for McMaster in the loss.

Down by just five in the first by a score of 19-14, the Marauders allowed the Lancers to pull away in the second quarter, ending the half with the home team up 37-25. McMaster outscored the reigning OUA and CIS Champions in the third quarter 18-14 narrowing the gap but the Lancers were too much for the visiting Marauders as they finished off the game 67-58.

Chiarot's 17 points were accompanied by Hailey Milligan's (Brantford, Ont.) double-double of 12 points and 10 rebounds.

For the Lancers, Jessica Clemencon scored 22 and grabbed 10 rebounds. Korissa Williams added another 11 points and nine rebounds for the home team.

The Marauders host the Waterloo Warriors on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
