Waterloo, Ont. - The McMaster women's basketball team earned their ninth win of the season, taking down the Waterloo Warriors in the process. In the 67-48 win, Taylor Chairot led the Marauders with 14 points.
McMaster dominated the first quarter, scoring 21 points and allowing the Warriors to reord just 11 of their own. In the second, McMaster maintained their large lead and would begin the second half ahead 35-24. The third quarter would see the Marauders score 20 points to Waterloo's 10 and despite the Warriors outscoring McMaster in the fourth, the visitors would come away with the win.
Joining Chiarot in double-digits included teammate Stephanie Truelove with 13 points and Liz Burns with another 12 for the Marauders.
For Waterloo, Colleen Quinlan was the only Warrior to hit double-digits 13 points.
The Marauders take on the Brock Badgers at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
