St. Catherines - The McMaster Marauders women's basketball team fell to the No. 8 Brock Badgers on Wednesday night at Bob Davis Gymnasium. The final score would read 60-56 in favour of the home team with the Marauders falling short in the final minutes of the game.

The first quarter saw the Badgers blow out Marauders 21-6. In the second, the tables were turned as the visting team outscored the home team 22-13. With Brock up by six going into the second half, the Marauders continued to put points on the board, scoring another 14 and holding the Badgers to just six. Scoring opened back up in the fourth and the Badgers would pull out the win with a final score of 60-56.

Three Marauders hit a game high 14 points including Jaklynn Nimec, who earned the double-double with 11 rebounds, Hailey Milligan who grabbed another nine rebounds for the Marauders and Taylor Chiarot who added another seven rebounds.

Badger Jessica Del Signore scored 14 for the home team. Samantha De Jong added another 12 points and 11 rebounds for the double-double in Brock's win.

The Marauders host the No. 2 Windsor Lancers at Burridge Gymnasium on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. in a rematch from last week.
