Waterloo, Ont. - The McMaster women's volleyball team were on the road for the first time this season at the University of Waterloo.
After McMaster won the first set by a score of 25-20, the Warriors inched past the Marauders in extra points, 26-24. Unable to gain back momentum from the second set loss, McMaster lost the next two 22-25 and 20-25.
Middle Shannon McRobert was the only effective Marauder on Friday night. The veteran scored a total of 22 points in the match thanks to 15 kills, 3 aces and 4 blocks.
Waterloo Warrior Laura Klein lead the charge for the opposing team with 16 points, all in kills. Natasha Spaling had 13 points for the Warriors, Oksana Kozak had 11 and Kristen Sheffield had another 10 for the home team.
Next up for the Marauders is another road game next Friday night against the Ryerson Rams.
