Hamilton, ON: McMaster Marauders men's basketball starting guard Tyrell Vernon has been named to the OUA West All Rookie Team for 2007-08. Vernon led the Marauders in scoring with 280 points in his debut season with the maroon and grey averaging 12.7 points per game. The six-foot-one rookie humanities major proved to be a workhorse on the court where he averaged over 30 minutes a game and accumulated 53 assists and 26 steals both second amongst his teammates. Vernon is a Hamilton, ON native who attended St. Thomas More high school.
