In a year that saw her assume captaincy of a young team in transition, Forbes demonstrated continuous improvement which culminated at the U SPORTS Championship in Kingston.

The second-year Kinesiology major completed the women’s eight-kilometre race in 29:41 to score 27th overall and provide the Marauders low post, while improving a remarkable 47 spots from her rookie placement of a season earlier. Forbes’ effort helped the Marauders to nudge two spots up the team standings in 2019, improving from 15th to 13th despite fielding a markedly younger group.
