Her team was in need of a win with a tough match against the no. 9-ranked Queen’s Gaels on tap Friday, and the Marauders senior outside answered the bell. Nairn led McMaster to victory in a rollercoaster five-set match, and killed 18 of 44 hitting attempts versus just five errors (.295), while adding five aces and four block assists for 25 points.
That multi-faceted performance made Nairn the night’s leading scorer and most dangerous player at the service line, and the fourth-year Commerce major was equally influential on the defensive end with a match high 17 digs.
Showing no sign of slowing down, Nairn was immense yet again the next night, as the Marauders moved across Kingston to sweep the RMC Paladins. Converting 11 of 17 hitting attempts, she committed just two errors (.529) and had an ace and a solo block for a match high 13 points.
