The veteran leader of the Marauders defence, Bill saved the best performance of his career for his final appearance at Ron Joyce Stadium. The safety pulled down two interceptions, including a crucial pick to snuff out Guelph’s final drive of the afternoon, as the no. 4-ranked Marauders topped the no. 3-ranked Gryphons 19-9 in an OUA semifinal to advance to the Yates Cup for the 11th time in program history.

The North Vancouver native nabbed his first interception of the afternoon immediately after the Marauders took a 12-7 lead in the third quarter, and kept momentum firmly in the home side’s corner. He added two solo tackles and one assisted tackle in the win to close his career at home in style.

Bill and the Marauders take the show on the road Saturday for the 112th Yates Cup in London, where they meet the top-ranked Western Mustangs at 1:00 p.m. That game will air live on CHCH.
