The third-year Biology major from Niagara Falls, Ont. provided his team a pair of gold medals, while achieving a new personal best in the 200m individual medley, as McMaster hosted Waterloo in a dual meet on Friday, January 18.
Tchervenelekov swam the 100m breast stroke in 1:10.08 to handily win the event by over two seconds, before laying down a 2:19.60 performance in the 200m IM that stood as a new personal best and won the event by just under six seconds.
He and the Marauders enjoy a week away from competition before heading to St. Catharines between February 6 and 8 for the OUA Championships, hosted by the Brock Badgers.
