The Spanish exchange student from Barcelona put his quality on display to score a whopping eight goals in three games at the OUA Championship, serving as McMaster's leading scorer as the Marauders won conference bronze.
Herrero had three goals in Mac's lopsided 13-7 win over the Western Mustangs in Friday's quarterfinals, pushing the Marauders into a semifinal against the host Toronto Varsity Blues Saturday. There, he did his part as Mac hung with the prohibitive tournament favourites, scoring a pair of goals while the Marauders battled to an 8-6 loss.
With the entire Marauders team bouncing back strongly Sunday to win bronze with a 9-6 victory over the Carleton Ravens, Herrero was particularly impressive, bagging three more goals for his trouble en route to OUA All-Star status.
