Stinellis continued her exceptional start to the 2018-19 season, winning a second divisional gold in as many weeks at 48kg. The rookie from Hannon, Ont. beat a trio of OUA opponents on her way to the top of the podium at the York Open, with a 10-0 win over Toronto’s Alina Khan, a pin of Lakehead’s Meagan Smith and a victory over York’s Gurleen Tak via injury default. Those three wins from four bouts propelled Stinellis to the top of the round robin chart.

Her gold at York follows a divisional win a week earlier at the Ryerson Open.
