The second-year Economics student followed his success at November’s Ontario Senior Provincial Championships by adding another title to his name at the junior event Sunday.

Competing at 79kg, Zahra dominated his weight class en route to three spotless victories and a gold medal, winning without conceding a single point. After winning his opening round match via pin, he followed with a 10-0 victory to advance to the final against Brock’s Max Budgey, who he defeated 11-0 for gold.

Having won 86kg gold at the senior provincial event in November, Zahra is now a provincial title holder at two different weight classes and both eligible age divisions.
