The second-year Marauder delivered McMaster’s lone gold medal at Windsor’s Can-Am meet on Saturday, January 13, winning the 1500m event in a time of 3:53.49. Topping a field that included 2017 OUA cross country champion Connor Black of Guelph, Raez Villanueva achieved the fastest current time in Canada at the distance, and the fourth-fastest in McMaster history.

January 15 marked Raez Villanueva’s third honour as Pita Pit Athlete of the Week in 2017-18.
