McMaster’s veteran at the 63kg weight class, Nicole Roach won a silver medal at the Western Open, and made a match of a tough contest against a World Championship-calibre wrestler.
 
Roach defeated York’s Wendy Roza, before a competitive showing against Lynda Morais of the Montreal Wrestling Club, who was a bronze medalist at the 2016 World Championships in December.
