Building on his promising offensive performance of a week earlier, Mac’s veteran opposite was a model of efficiency in a pair of Marauders wins this past weekend.
 
McCarthy opened the weekend by converting five of six hitting attempts and adding a pair of aces in a cameo appearance Friday, playing just a single set as McMaster swept one of the two new members of the OUA – the Trent Excalibur – on the road.
 
With a full three sets in which to operate Saturday, the right side was even more clinical. He finished McMaster’s 3-0 win over York with 15 kills from 20 attempts without an error, leading the match with his 15 points.
