In just his first season as a Marauder, Adam Preocanin is already entering lofty company. The rookie kicker made good on all seven of his field goal attempts on October 7, matching the OUA and CIS single-game record in the process, and nudging himself ever closer to the CIS single-season field goal record. With 22 successful kicks thus far, Preocanin sits just four behind the CIS record set by Guelph’s Daniel Ferraro in 2014, with two games left to play.
His 23 points on October 7 made up the majority of McMaster’s scoring, as the Marauders handily beat the Queen’s Gaels 36-6. Preocanin sits as the OUA scoring leader with 84 points from six games.
