Settling well into her fourth year as a Marauder, Emily Nowak led McMaster to third at the UB Stampede hosted by the University of New York at Buffalo Friday. In their first meet of the 2016 season, the Marauders bettered their performance of a year ago, and Nowak’s run was a big reason why. Her time of 22.04.3 across the 6km distance was good for seventh overall, McMaster’s low score and second among the Canadians in the race.
Her performance helped McMaster overtake the Western Mustangs, and finish as the top Canadian school at the event, behind only Duquesne and the hosts from Buffalo.
