Third-year guard Joe Rocca (Sarnia, Ont.) had two strong games to start the OUA basketball interlock schedule, leading McMaster to a pair of wins over Toronto and Ryerson. In Friday’s 96-75 win over Toronto, Rocca scored 16 points on seven of 15 shooting, and grabbed six rebounds to help the Marauders defeat the Varsity Blues. Facing the No. 4-ranked team in the CIS top-ten on Saturday, Rocca was outstanding as McMaster beat Ryerson 74-64. He led the Marauders in scoring with 22 points, shooting nine of 14 from the floor and knocking down three of five shots from beyond the arc. Rocca added to his stat line with seven rebounds, three assists and three steals against the Rams in a solid all-round performance.
