Dino Perri

McMaster Experience: 14th (2008 - present)

Coach Perri completed his 13th season on the Marauder sideline in 2020, having guided the Marauders to the national championship tournament on five occasions.

Under his direction, McMaster has won three OUA titles, in 2009, 2011 and 2012.
Under Coach Perri, McMaster’s best finish at the national tournament was a final berth in 2014.
In 10 years as the senior boys’ soccer coach at Hamilton’s St. Thomas More high school, Perri guided the Knights to five city championships and three trips to the OFSAA provincial playdowns, winning the bronze medal in 2006.
Perri also served as the Head Coach of St. Catharines Roma, a semi-professional team that plays in the Canadian Professional Soccer League, where in his first season his team earned the triple crown by winning all three of the available championship titles.
As a goalkeeper, Perri played in the Canadian Professional Soccer League for 16 years with the Hamilton Steelers and St. Catharines Roma, where he was named a league all-star on six occasions.

2019: The Marauders finished the regular season with a record of 5-3-6. and a post season record of 1-1 ... The Marauders fell to the York Lions 4-1 in the OUA Quarterfinals... Christian Cossidente was awared the OUA West Community Service Award... The midfielder Anand Sergeant was an OUA West Division First Team All-Star... The trio of Matthew Monterio - Defender-, Yordan Stoyanov - Midfielder -, and Dusan Kovacevic - Striker - were named to the OUA West Divison Second Team All-Stars roster... Anand Sergeant received the McMaster Dr. Jack Kennedy Award. 

2018: McMaster finished the OUA regular season as the third seed in the OUA West division, with a conference record of 9-3-4 ... The Marauders were defeated 1-0 by the Waterloo Warriors in a first round playoff match at Ron Joyce Stadium ... Defender Cheikh Tchouambou was named to the U SPORTS All-Rookie Team ... Yordan Stoyanov won the OUA West Community Service Award ... Midfielders Anand Sergeant and Yunus Mollayev were named as OUA West First Team All-Stars, while goalkeeper Tristan Joyce, defender Anton Buretic, Tchouambou and striker Dusan Kovacevic were named to the Second Team.

2017: The Marauders earned the second seed in the OUA West with a conference record of 12-3-1 ... McMaster defeated Guelph 1-0 in an OUA quarterfinal at Ron Joyce Stadium ... The Marauders were beaten 3-0 by the Carleton Ravens in a semifinal at York and lost the OUA bronze medal match 3-0 to Ryerson ... Striker Dusan Kovacevic and midfielder Yunus Mollayev were named OUA West First Team All-Stars ... Defender Tony Li, winger Sasha Ricciuti and goalkeeper Jesse DiDomenico were named to the Second Team.

2016: McMaster finished third in the OUA West standings with a 9-4-3 conference record ... The Marauders defeated Windsor 4-0 in an OUA first round playoff at Ron Joyce Stadium before losing a quarterfinal against the Guelph Gryphons 3-1 ... Midfielder Yunus Mollayev was named as an OUA West First Team All-Star ... Defender Aleks Vincic and winger Marco Gennaccaro were named Second Team All-Stars ... Forward Kristian Ferreira won the OUA West Community Service Award.

2015: Took third in the OUA West with 11-5 record. Went on a playoff run, beating WLU (2-0), Windsor (1-0), Ryerson (1-0) before losing the OUA final 2-1 to York. Moving on to the CIS Championship, lost a 2-1 opener to UQAM on PKs, before beating Victoria 2-1 and Cape Breton 4-1 to finish 5th.

2014: Second in OUA West with 11-2-3 record. Beat Western 1-0 in OUA quarterfinals, beat Ryerson 1-0 (5-3 on PKs) in semi, lost OUA final 2-0 to York. Advanced to CIS championship and beat UNB 2-1 on PKs, beat UQAM 3-2 on PKs, and lost 1-0 to York in national final to bring home the silver medal.

2013: Finished second in OUA West with 11-2-3 record. Upset 2-1 by Windsor in OUA playoffs. 

2012: Repeated as OUA Champions.. third championship in four years... finished fifth overall at the CIS Championships where they lost to Laval in the Quarterfinals, but would defeat UNB and then OUA rivals the Carleton Ravens in the fifth place match... Posted a 12-1-3 regular season record to get a bye to the OUA Quarter-finals where they defeated Guelph 2-0... Took down Queen's in the OUA Semifinals 5-2 and shut out Carleton in the finals winning the title 5-0... Andrew Pastoric was named a CIS Second-Team All-Canadian at defence and an OUA West First-Team All-Star with teammates Ryan Garnett and Mark Reilly.. goalkeeper Angelo Cavalluzzo was an OUA West Second-Team All-Star although with veteran Garrett McConville. 

2011: Led the Marauders to their second OUA Championship in three years... finished sixth in the country at the CIS Championships with a 1-2 record.. posted a 10-2-4 conference record during the regular season, finishing second in the West... Beat Guelph and then Carleton in the playoffs and finished off the OUA season with a 3-1 win over the Toronto Varsity Blues to capture the title... Anthony Costa was named a CIS All-Canadian and also an OUA West First-Team All-Star... Matt Grant, Garret McConville, Gersi Xhuti, Aaron Boothe and Mark Reilly all also named All-Stars... Xhuti earned OUA West Rookie of the Year honours. 

2010: Posted a conference record of 8-5-3 to place fourth in the OUA West... defeated Waterloo 1-2 in an OUA playoff game to advance to the quarter-finals where McMaster was defeated 1-3 by Western...Matt Grant was named an OUA First Team All-Star while Kyle Grootenboer was added to the OUA's second team.

2009: Coach Perri transformed the McMaster men's soccer program by posting a 6-7-1 conference season and winning the OUA Championship against Toronto 1-0...Defeated the Carleton Ravens 1-0 in their third consecutive shootout of the playoffs in the semifinals to advance to the OUA final for the first time since 1994...At the CIS Championhip in Langley B.C. the Marauders finished seventh overall with a 0-2 record...Garret McConville and Kyle Grootenboer were both named OUA Second Team All-Stars.

2008: Posted a 3-9-2 conference record to finish seventh in the OUA West; an improvement from the previous season's 1-10-3 record.

Other Highlights:

Perri has been a physical education teacher at Hamilton's St. Thomas More for 10 years where he has led the Knights to eight consecutive city championship appearances including five city titles.

His teams have advanced to Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations (OFSAA) championships on three occasions and advanced to the quarter-finals on every occasion including a bronze medal performance in 2006.

Perri also served as the Head Coach of St. Catharines Roma, a semi-professional team that plays in the Canadian Professional Soccer league, where his team earned the Triple-Crown in his first season, winning all three of the available championship titles.

As a goalkeeper, Perri played in the Canadian Professional Soccer League for 16 years with the Hamilton Steelers and St. Catharines Roma, where he was named a league All-Star on 6 occasions.

Dino represented Ontario at the National Championships two times, coming away with victories on both occasions.
