Ben has been involved in golf from a young age and developed his passion for the game through competing at the junior level. Growing up around the game has provided him with opportunities to not only develop as a player but has had the opportunity to work with some of the best coaches in Canada. His passion for the game brought him to Humber College where he graduated from the Professional Golf Management Program in 2012. While he was attending Humber, he was a member of the Humber Hawks Golf Team where he helped the team win 4 x OCAA and 2 x CCAA team titles during his tenure. Shortly after graduating, he joined the Canadian Professional Golfers’ Association and is a Class “A” Member. He has competed both at a national and international level, gaining valuable experience as an amateur and professional player.
Ben believes in a well-rounded holistic approach to teaching golf. Working with golfers of all capabilities, this has allowed him to develop a teaching style that encompasses not only technique, but the fitness, mental, nutrition and tournament preparedness that is required of golfers at the top level. Ben’s Raison D’etre for the McMaster Marauders Golf Teams is to create and foster a team environment that will provide the student-athletes with the ability to compete at the highest level in both the athletic and corporate world.
