Tatham completed his fifth season on the Marauders sideline in 2021-22, guiding McMaster to the OUA Semi-finals.
He joined the McMaster staff after spending the 2016-17 season as an assistant coach with the Maine Red Claws of the NBA Development League, while on a professional development leave from Ryerson University, where he spent six seasons as an assistant.
Tatham helped guide the Rams through the most successful period of their program’s history, after being added to the Rams staff as an assistant coach in 2010. He assumed the duties of interim head coach in 2015-16, leading the Rams to a 17-2 regular season record and finishing atop the OUA standings for the first time. The team’s successful campaign continued into the playoffs, where the program captured its first Wilson Cup title as OUA champions by defeating the reigning, five-time CIS champion Carleton Ravens in the final.
His effort in the interim role earned Tatham OUA Coach of the Year honours, and he became the first Ryerson coach to be awarded the Stu Aberdeen Trophy as CIS Coach of the Year.
Thus far at McMaster, Tatham has seen five OUA All-Star selections, one U SPORTS All-Rookie Team and two OUA All-Rookie Team selection.
Experienced on the international stage, Tatham served on the staff of the Canadian Junior Men’s National Team in 2012, helping to guide the team to bronze at the FIBA Americas U18 Men’s Championship in Brazil.
He was a member of Team Canada’s coaching staff for the 2013 Summer Universiade in Kazan, Russia, where the Canadians went 5-0 in pool play and finished fourth.
Tatham continues to be involved with Canada Basketball, most recently serving as head coach with the FIBA U18 Americas Championship and U17 Basketball World Cup and, prior to that as an assistant with the FIBA U19 Basketball World Cup, with Canadian Senior National Men's Team through FIBA World Cup qualifying in 2018-19 and with the national cadet program.
A graduate of Cleveland State University, where he played basketball at the NCAA Division I level, Tatham was a member of the Canadian Junior National Team from 2002-2004. He played three professional seasons in Switzerland, Syria, Qatar and Germany at the conclusion of his varsity career.

2021-2022: McMaster finished the regular season with an 11-5 conference record and a 1-1 post season record. The Marauders hosted the OUA quarter-finals, winning 94-82 against the Lakehead Thunderwolves. McMaster fell to the Brock Badgers in the OUA semi-finals. Jordan Henry was named an OUA First Team All-Star. Mike Demagus was named an OUA Second Team All-Star and Ares Culley Bremner was named a member of the OUA All-Rookie Team.

2019-2020: The Marauders finished the regular season with a conference record of 12-10 and a post season record of 1-1... McMaster hosted a first-round playoff and took the win against the Brock Badgers 83-71... The Marauders fell in the OUA quarterfinal match to the Carleton Ravens, who went on to win both the OUA and U-SPORTS championship... Jordan Henry was named an OUA Second Team All-Star... Jordan Henry broke a 51-year old McMaster record for single-game scoring record, with 46 points.
2018-19: McMaster finished the OUA regular season with an 11-13 conference record and the fourth seed in the West Division ... The Marauders hosted a first round playoff and defeated the Guelph Gryphons 78-75 to advance to the conference quarterfinals ... McMaster was defeated 95-89 by the Laurier Golden Hawks in Waterloo ... Marauders guard David McCulloch was named as an OUA Third Team All-Star for a second consecutive season, while guard Jordan Henry was named to the All-Rookie Team ... Henry was named to the U SPORTS All-Rookie Team and was a finalist for McMaster's Mel and Marilyn Hawkrigg Award for Male Rookie of the Year.
2017-18: The Marauders compiled a 10-14 record in conference play and finished fifth in the OUA West division ... McMaster travelled to Waterloo for a first round playoff, losing 102-76 to the Laurier Golden Hawks ... Guard David McCulloch was named as an OUA Third Team All-Star.
