Gilmore and Pansegrau Named Pita Pit Athletes of the Week

Connor Gilmore had a career day on Saturday afternoon, as he helped the Marauders to their sixth straight OUA victory as they beat Laurier 105-81 in Waterloo.

Gilmore scored a career-high 32 points to pace the Mac attack, hitting 11 of 14 shots from the floor, including an amazing eight of 10 (80 per cent) from three-point range, falling just one short of the McMaster record for 3-point field goals in a game. He was also two of three from the charity stripe and grabbed nine rebounds.

Earlier in the week (Jan. 13), Gilmore scored 10 points in a 93-66 win over the Waterloo Warriors, to finish the week with a 21 points-per-game average over the two games.

Pansegrau, Kaitlyn
KAITLYN PANSEGRAU

A a day full of success for the Marauders at long distances, Kaitlyn Pansegrau enjoyed one of the team's best performances to bring home one of its three gold medals from the Don Wright Team Challenge in London on Saturday. The third-year runner crossed the finish line first, in a time of 3:03.38, in the women's 1500m event to top the field at Western.
