MCMASTER ATHLETES OF THE WEEK, MARCH 4-10

The fourth-year Marauder continued his dominance at the 300m distance while competing at the CIS Track and Field Championships in Edmonton this past weekend. Hutchinson claimed one of McMaster's two medals at the event, finishing the final of the 300m race in a time of 34.34 to win bronze. The result capped off a season in which Hutchinson broke his own McMaster record at the distance.

A year after finishing fourth in the same race and narrowly missing a medal, Coates found the podium in the 3000m race at the CIS Track and Field Championships this past weekend. The Marauder veteran completed the event in a time of 9:43.33 to earn a bronze medal, one of the two won by McMaster runners over the course of the weekend.
