McMaster University Athletics

A member of McMaster's first graduating class in Hamilton, Paterson was quarterback of the football team for four years. He went on to play with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Ottawa Rough Riders, returning to McMaster in 1945. His return led to a 30-year career in administration as bursar and assistant to the president.
