McMaster University Athletics

A freestyle and backstroke specialist, Sarah Dickson swam for McMaster from 1997 to 2001, and was a key member of three straight OUA championship teams in 1998, 1999 and 2000.  Over her four-year varsity career, she was an individual medalist at the OUA championship every year and achieved OUA All-Star status in each season. Dickson was also named a CIAU All-Canadian in the 2000 season, when she captured silver medals as a member of the 400 and 800-metre freestyle relay teams. 

In her final season of 2000-01, Dickson was chosen to serve as a team captain and at the end of the year she was presented with the Dr. Edna Guest Award for demonstrating outstanding athletic ability and radiating the spirit of McMaster.
