It's no coincidence that Rod's years at Mac were also some of the finest the Marlins ever posted. Anchoring the defence from 1960-63, Rod was co-MVP of the Marlins in 1961-62 and captain the next season, when his team claimed the first CIAU hockey championship. A tireless worker on the ice, Rod also brought his leadership to the Student Athletic Executive as a member in 1963.
